MAD CAMP 2010 :)

hello there peeps !
so yeah , as you can see from the picture above
i just came back from MAD CAMP TWENTY TEN ! ;D
Mad Camp is seriously AWESOME !
so imma blog about this camp :D
DAY 1
reached church at 9am ( 'cause i'm a committee member )
some of them were doing TAWG
then , we prayed for the camp
and declared some good words over the camp .
anyways , helped natasha at the registration counter
the bus reached at around 11 something
got into the bus and reached STM ( our campsite ) at around 1 something ? forgot :p
it started with ice-breaking !
then , they divided us into our game groups !
there were 8 groups althogether
my leader was kah hoe , but he was not there , so our current group leader was hannah loke :)
there were 2 assistants , hannah and ME
but i wasn't a good assistant :p
our games theme was justice league !
everyone was supposed to be a super hero from justice league .
i was flash , a super fast runner -.-
if you don't know what is that super hero , nvm 'cause i don't even know the existence of this super hero too
then , we had to discuss about our group name
and it was called
MAD CIRCLE !
it was called circle , 'cause circle is the synonym of league -.-
later we sent to our rooms
my roommate was hannah
and our room is at the very end and nearest to the toilet -.-
after dinner and free time , we were told to change into either black , red or white for a night event !
and the night event was actually a dance ! with the song ' Don't Stop Believing ' by Glee
so they taught us how to dance and it goes on
then we had our first session , supper and went to bed
can't believe that me and hannah chat till 1am :O
DAY 2
woke up at around 8 am 'cause i heard noises outside
after getting ready , there was a exercise session and breakfast
then we had a ice breaker again , this time among our group only
and we had a workshop about worship by Ps. Chris Long
learnt that we should just worship God with all our heart without caring about how you looked like when your're worshiping and what others think of you :)
after lunch and group discussion , we had
INTERGROUP INDOOR CHALLENGES !
kah hoe was there already
the first game was listening to your leaders
they blindfolded us and asked us to reach to the other end by listening to our leaders
but it was really hard to listen our leaders as other team leaders were shouting and there was music playing too
the 2nd game was , urm idk what it was called
we had to cut fishes out of newspaper and wack them from one end to the other
that was one hard game
the last game was kiss the paper ( if i'm not mistaken )
everyone had to wear lipsticks on their lips and kiss the mahjong paper
it was disgusting as we had to share the same lipsticks and there were saliva on the mahjong paper -.-
oh well , at least we had fun :)
after free time and wash up , we had our second session by Rev. Deborah Ong ( our senior pastor )
she shared about relationships and about what parents think about us and also how we should appreciate them
it was great seeing people giving their suggestions about it
learnt alot from there
went to bed after supper
DAY 3
woke up at 8.20 am
after wash up and breakfast , we went for a Boy Girl Relationship ( BGR ) Workshop by Ps.Reuben
it's a good workshop :D
after lunch and group discussion , we went for the
ULTIMATE GROUP CHALLENGE !
we were first given a secret code to break and a manilla card to draw our flag
so we split into 2 , some to break the code while the others drew the flag
the game master gave us some hints as the code was quite hard
we were the 3rd team who managed to break the code
we were sent outside to line up and get ready to go to our stations
after the siren rang , we started running to our stations
our first station was BATMAN
it was kinda like a shooting game
and it requires speed to win this game
AND
it's scary :(
i heard someone cried because of this game :O
unfortunately , the rain started pouring
so all of us had to move in
before the game started , our batman was called out to prove to the judges that they are the real batman
and we won :D
'cause kah hoe , our batman watched the movie like 6 times ?
he eventually told the whole story -.-
anyways
we were challenging Rojak Diva
and we got tie :/
our next station was FLASH
this game requires speed and luck
it was like the game One Two Jus , in a different way
our 3rd station was SUPERMAN
where we were blindfolded and given a bucket filled with stuffs and CREATURES !
we were suppose to find a 20 cent coin inside the bucket and guess what kind of creature it was inside the bucket
unfortunately , the siren rang before it was my turn , so yeah :(
the last station was GREEN ARROW ( high 5 if you have no idea what super hero this is :D )
we were given a straw each to fill in peas and shoot at our opponents
after that , we played simon says 'cause there were some extra time
and my group won ! :D
and the very last station ( oops :p ) was the DARK JUSTICE LEAGUE !
we were given water balloons and eggs to attack the dark justice league
the ultimate game session ended with total fun and a unforgettable moment :)
after wash up and group discussion , we had our 3rd session with our senior pastor , Rev. Daniel Cheah
i have to admit that i was very sleepy during that session
i guess it's the games ?
but still learnt alot from that session :)
then , we were acknowledged the drama was postponed to the next day 'cause all the other teams were not prepared
so yeah , we hit the bed
DAY 4 ( LAST DAY :'( )
woke up and packed my bags :(
had a short group discussion before leaving for music practice
this is the very first time i was singing in Mad Camp :D
anyways , after breakfast , we gathered at the hall
to DANCE again and most importantly , THE DRAMA :D
we danced for the last time and it was great !
they shoot a video of it throughout the dance
and last but not least
the DRAMA :D
and our group was the first team -.-
we were so not prepared during that moment
but it went well
especially kah hoe's acting
saved our life ! ;D
and it followed by the other 7 teams
then , we were given Mad Camp 2010 Books :D
it was creatively designed , even my dad said that he lost to it :O
and great content too
and the moment which everyone was waiting for
the RESULTS !
our team got 3rd place ! with a total of 38,870 points if i'm not mistaken
we were totally surprised 'cause the last time we checked , we got the 2nd last place
so happy we got 3rd though we didn't get anything for that
left STM at around 2 something after the photograph session
reached church at around 5pm
it was a great camp after all
though i got sore throat on the last day :(
i guess i've been eating too much junkies eh ?
anyways that's all
looking forward to attending MAD CAMP next year !
