KEM KEPIMPINAN 2011

The amount of people that went :D

So, I'm BACK! from Kem Kepimpinan 2011! And it was TREMENDOUSLY FUN :D. Seriously wished the fun never ended.

To be honest, i was not looking forward to attending this camp. Maybe it's because Shas decided to quit the camp last minute? And i thought this camp would be kind of a torture. Well, my sis used to tell me that school camps are plain torture. So yeah.

But it turned out to be the exact opposite.

So i reached school at around 7.30am. The bus came an hour late. Girls and guys were separated into two busses. We got a lousy bus, but better than nothing.

Reached the camp site at around 8.10am. My first impression of the camp site was like this is going to be one crappy camp. Dorms were okay but HOT. Toilets were NOT okay. They don't even have a basin there.

We gathered at a hall and the facilitators gave speeches. They did looked scareh and strict at first. And they collected our handphones D: So, i did not know the time for the whole day as i was counting on my handphone for the time.

Anyways, it started off with ice breaking. lazy to explain the first game so i will just skip to the second one. We were divided into groups according to our birth month. Then they asked to send out the best looking guy and girl in the group. And they chose me and Suhaasan. Waddahell. I had to catwalk from one end to the other while the guys had to pose. Stuffs.

That wasn't our official group. We were then again divided into 5 groups. So, I was in group no.4 which is called G-FOURce, lead by Quah Jian. Our group consisted of 11 people. There were a lot of unfamiliar faces though.

So our first game was tying a reef knot using a rope which was as long as the rope used for tug-a-war with 56 people holding it. It was not as easy as you think it is. I thought it was easy at first but it wasn't especially when you have your hands under the rope. But we made it in 17 minutes. 4th place and fastest school that finished this activity so far.

The second game was called Red Blue Chip. It was something like investing on shares. Kinda cool though our group didn't do well. Third game was urm, I forgot what was it called. It involved a ring, where you have to throw it into hooks but at the same time being chased by others. I didn't participate in that game though cause it was kinda aggressive. More suitable for guys and basketball players. Our group got 3rd for that. The last one was kinda boring. It was not even a game I think. Lazy to talk about it.

It was about 12.30am I guess when we went back to our dorms for bed. We slept on the top bunk, 3 of us shared 2 beds. Well actually, me and Suet Ling wanted to sleep at the bottom but it was too hot. Too hot that we rather share 2 beds together. Had a hard time sleeping though. Too much laughter at night. :D

The epic part was this. In the middle of the night, Meng Fai knocked the door and asked for Darshini. And when she opened the door, we found a bunch of shirtless guys shining torches at their faces. And screams were heard. EPIC WEYH.

The next morning we packed our bags and got ready for senamrobik. We did some warm ups and dances.
The first dance was a total failure. Everyone was in their blur mode. I was trying my best to catch up with the dance. The second one was the chicken dance, the usual dance in every camp. Kinda epic though :D

And then, we had the worst yet best game called the Town Game. Basically, we had to form human chains from one station to collect for price tags and pass them back using our mouths. We are not allowed to let go of each other when the game is going on. The catch is we can use whatever that was on our body to form a longer chain. So the guys started striping, some even took their pants off leaving their boxers behind. We took out shoelaces and whatever that could help to make the line longer. And being the searcher (the one who searches for the price tags and lead the chain) was really tiring. I literally scram my lungs out to get the tag from one of the facilitator. Plus, I was barefooted and stepping on those rocks and sands was pretty uncomfortable. But I had fun. Plain fun.

We had our last session later on. The form 5's gave a short speech each and all of us shook their hands. The group leaders and a few campers gave speeches too. Bus came and we head home.

Overall, it was a totally unforgettable experience plus a awesomely memorable one. Wished the camp would be 3 days 2 nights instead. We would have the opportunity to try the Flying Fox by then.

The girls dorm. With only two fans I guess.

The guys and girls dorm locating next to each other.
Oh did I stated that our dorms were above the lake? It was also facing the Flying Fox area. The weather in the morning was cooling and calm. A city girl like me don't experience mornings like this all the time.

That's all for now. Can't wait for the next camp. Hopefully it will be as fun as this.
