Banner Competition District Level

So, the four of us (Me, Leah, Woo and Shas) represented our school for the banner competition district level yesterday at Binary University College. We received our prize for the previous competition on Tuesday. We got a Buncho paint each. Which we finished it yesterday for the competition.

Left school at 7.30am. The four of us sat in Pn. Hardev's car while the other four girls (who took part in the poster competition) sat in Cik Siti's car. We reached Binary University College in less than 15 minutes. After the registration, a lady told us to go to the fifth floor using the stairs. And the four of us were like "WTH?" We suffered our way through the stairs and found out that we had to paint our banner at the corridor. Like seriously? Not even a hall for us to paint our banner? Plus no fans or aircond. Just the wind which only comes once in a while. Worse comes to worse, Woo and Leah spotted the elevator. Gosh, did that lady just made us climb up the fifth floor when there was an elevator? -.-

Enough with the complaining.

The competition was 4 hours long. Actually lesser than 4 hours. Or was it more than that? Forget it. We divided jobs among ourselves. Painted like we had never painted before. More back aches, butt and leg cramps. There were times we got demotivated when we looked at the other teams. Especially the one next to us who were super pro artists.

We didn't manage to finish our banner on time. We got all the paintings done but didn't have time to outline everything and for touch-ups. And the group next to us was like "WOW!". So that kind of demotivate us more. But it still looks okay. Though we could have done better.

The closing ceremony was at 2.30. Started off with boring speeches then to the prize giving session. It started with the sketsa followed by the folio. Then the poster. Sadly, the four girls didn't win. Pity.

Then it was finally the banner category. We were kind of down that moment.

BUT WE HAD THE SHOCK OF OUR LIFE WHEN OUR SCHOOL NAME WAS ANNOUNCED.

We screamed at each other when our school name was announced. Literally. But it was really suprising. 4th place weyh! Out of 31 schools! We got a trophy and a certificate each. :D Oh and that group beside us did get the first place.

4th place! :)
