You shoot me down, but I won't fall.
Hi guys. Sorry for the dead blog. I was busy for this whole week as I had a Moral project to be completed. The project turned out to be one of the ugliest project I've ever done throughout my whole high school life. Well, that's what I get for doing things at the eleventh hour. I finished the project in a week! Not bad eh?
I also got back all my results already and surprisingly they turned out better than expected! They are neither very good nor very bad. If you're wondering what I got for Physics and Add Maths, I scored a C+ for Add Maths and a B for Physics. Quite bad, but oh well. I 'm quite thankful for my results and I know this is all God's work. God is good!
I know I've said that I will write a blog post about Pre-Mad Camp 2012 in my previous blog post but the camp took place 3 weeks ago and it seems like I've forgotten the details about it. So I'm just going to summarize the whole camp here.
To me, this camp was different. Why? Cause I became one of the group leaders in the games group for the very first time! But luckily, I had Natasha Tan as my partner to lead the group. Our group name was Flabbergasted Broccoli and it consisted mostly girls. We only had one boy in our group, Samuel Pang. I'm thankful to have him in our group because he did contribute a lot to our group especially in our last minute group chant. Leading a group is not easy. Our group members were quiet and demotivated in the beginning, especially Samuel for he was the only guy but they turned out to be loud and spontaneous after some time. Although we were treated unfairly in one of the outdoor games, but we still had fun working together in the games and activities. P.S Natasha was really good at keeping the positive aura in the group!
Check out our group chant which is pretty lame. :P
Hahaha everyone looks epic except me and Jasmine. :P
We had several workshops and speeches by the pastors. I've learned that choices are so important in life, how to serve and love God and that our parents always want the best for us. We had a few Q&A session with or senior pastor, Rev. Deborah Ong which was pretty interesting. To quote Pastor Chris from this session,
"It's better to prepare than repair."
Somehow, I think this sentence really speaks to me. In a way.
And here comes the pictures!
Name tags!
With the girl who camwhores the most, Deborah Long.
Bestieeeee. ;)
This is Natasha! And Caleb David at the bottom lol.
Su Janeeeeee.
Li See and Irene! Dicksonn and Caleb photobombed us.
According to Dicksonn and Caleb, "I think you should delete this photo because I'm afraid that your handphone screen will crack." Lol lah this two perasan people.
Face palm group picture!
This is the recap of the camp!

P.S Woo is not in the picture. :(
Last Saturday, my classmates and I joined An Oxford and Cambridge English Language Event 2012 held at Sunway University College. Sounds boring? Yes it was. VERY boring indeed. I actually joined this programme because most of my friends were going and teacher said that there was going to be good food prepared for us which turned out.. bleh. All we did was just being an audience to the Public Speaking Competition (Finals), listen to boring talk and be the audience again for the Finale: Prize Giving Ceremony. I think the only part I enjoyed a little was during the oral talk where we had to walk around and gather into groups of the month of our birth dates without communicating using our mouth. There was a Cullinary Workshop but that's only for teachers. Unfair!
But overall, it was totally suckish and I will never come back if there is another one next year. Oh, we took pictures too to kill time!
The Multi-Purpose Hall. It's the same hall that we used for the Future of Success Seminar that we attended last year.
Hahaha only took half of Suet Ling's face.
Spot the creepy Jack Lam.
Hahaha I just had to post this! Chui See looks cute. :P
We moved to the Lecture Theatres for the talks.
Each of us received one of these. Our schedule is printed on the white paper in the picture above.
And... this is brunch. Slightly spicy noodles with fried nuggets and mineral water.
Suet Ling was busy texting someone ahem. ;)
It's written "ABRAHAM LINCOLN WAS HERE." Trololololol.
Tomorrow, the school is going to have it's annual Sports Day. I was supposed to be in the 4 x 100m race to replace a girl who couldn't make it but now that she could, they no longer need me. So sad right? I was excited for Sports Day but now, no more. What to do, the better runners always get the opportunity to run. The new ones will just have to wait for their turn, if there is actually one. As the saying goes, life is unfair.
