SPORTS DAY 2012.

The title says it all. Yes, I'm writing about Sports Day 2012. Although I didn't participate in any of the sports events, I was asked to be one of the pemegang bunga mangga. In case you don't know what that is, Google it. But to follow Red House's decoration theme this year which is 'Red Indian', our bunga mangga was replaced with a small stick with a paper cut into a shape of a diamond stuck at the top of it. It actually looks pretty sad hahaha.

And so, this is what I wore. Red Iban costume which has bells almost everywhere! The bells were ringing when we were walking around the school field. So noisy and irritating to be honest.
Thank God I didn't faint this time weih. I thank Him for giving me the strength to be able to stand throughout the whole perbarisan this time. ( Unlike last year hmph. Read the blog post here if you don't know what happened to me last year, which was pretty embarrassing. ) Sook Yann kept asking me whether was I okay about like every 5 minutes hahah. But there were about 4-5 unlucky people who fainted / nearly fainted during the perbarisan. Three were from the PBSM team which I think that was the reason that cause them to lose the title this year. If it's true, then I think it's pretty unfair to them as the members who fainted didn't do that on purpose. They've trained so hard yet they lost because of something that doesn't even involve their perbarisan skills? So unfair. Sad for them lah.
Oh, there was also this super lame performance by the Sky Runners I think? All they did was wearing this shoe that has some sort of spring which allows them to jump, jump and jump. And jump again. That wasn't even a performance, more like they were syok sendiri-ing there. All those who participated in the perbarisan had to stand under the hot sun to watch that performance. And all I could think of was, "When would this end?"
So.. tell me what are these 'shoes' called.
There were sports activities after that. There were races, tarik tali and prize-giving ceremony. We stayed there to support our houses and also Leah and Alyssa who took part. And to kill time again, we took pictures!
I couldn't find a picture of the whole tent, so here are bits and pieces of the decorations!
Okay lah, I have to admit that the first two pictures did not look Red Indian-ish. Well, at least the third picture does.
Cute lah this tiki. (Y)
Red house.
Blue house.
Yellow house.
Green house.
And here comes all the syok sendiri pictures.
With the other houses' mascots!
P.S Notice the miserable stick I'm holding? That's the one I'm talking about haha.
Super cool effect leh!
Red hair rawr!
Overall, Red house came in second! Blue was first, followed by Yellow then Green. Red house was also the first runner up for the keceriaan! Not bad lah not bad. :D
P.S The non-ss pictures are stolen from other people's albums on Facebook. Woo didn't bring her DSLR, so I had to steal pictures from Facebook heh.
