A QUIET LULLABY.

Last Friday, I visited an ear specialist at Sunway Medical Centre. For most of you who didn't know what happen, I had a wax blockage in my right ear for about a week. I went for swimming the other day and after I did the backstroke, I became half deaf. In one ear lol. I had troubles listening with my right ear, hence causing the people around me to repeat what they said because I always couldn't catch what they said. Damn pitiful right? :(

Went to see a clinic doctor before this and he said that water entered my ear while I was swimming causing the wax to expand, thus blocking my ear canal. He also said if no action is taken and I continue swimming, I can actually be deaf! D: So he gave me a dropper and asked me to put five drops of some sort of liquid in it and wait for five minutes to dampen the wax or something. After trying for a few days, I give up. It wasn't helping. :( Ok lah, it did helped a little. I was able to listen again the day before I went to see the ear specialist but after my mom put five drops of that liquid into my ear, I became half deaf again. T.T

I had no school on that Friday, so my mom took leave and brought me to the hospital. I was damn scared ok and idk why. I kept thinking they will poke a long stick into my ear (according to my mom's colleague) and it will be really painful and the doctor will be super scary looking and all (lol such great imaginations right I know). But none of these happen la phew.

Pictures first hehe.

While waiting for my turn. :P

Mommyyyy.

The doctor who I consulted had a really funny name. Dr. Gan Tong Nee. Funny right, no? :P My mom made an appointment through the Sunway Medical Centre website and she chose this doctor because his name is unique lol wth. -_-

He had many patients waiting outside his room leh! I was the third one. When we entered the room, he look very strict but he turned out to be really friendly! I told him about my ear and he said it is a very normal thing, nothing to worry. He checked my ear with this super cool machine which idk how to describe haha and put a few drops of liquids in my ear (not again -_-) and asked me to come back after 45 minutes.

Nah, I found a picture of the doctor from the website. xD He looks so joyous after all right?

The doctor stuffed cottons into my ear canal to avoid the liquid from urm, coming out?

Closer look!

Camwhore sikit lah. :P

So I followed my mom and sis for lunch. After 45 minutes, I went back to see the doctor and the nurse removed the cottons from my ears. Then, he used the super cool machine to suck the wax out from both my ears. It was a quick process, around 10-15 minutes I guess. When everything is done, I can finally hear again!!! For a moment, I actually forgotten how it feels like to be able to listen clearly again lol CHOI!

The canteen behind me if you can see. :P

The doctor said that the size of my ear canal is very narrow, like the size of a kid's. Thus, it is very hard for me to clean my ear by myself. :( He said if I force it, my ear will become swollen. So I have to go there to clean my ear once every six months. Oh, and guess how much it costed? Almost RM200. 200 bucks just to clean ear? Doctors really make a lot of money leh. But praise the Lord, this is covered by insurance so I don't have to pay anything. ^_^

If any of you are facing the same problem as me, please go see the doctor. You don't want to end up being deaf.

Been camwhoring with my sister a lot lately hmm.
