CNY 2013 & AN INJURED TOE.
posted: 10:13 PM | comments: 0

CNY this year had been pretty boring. My birthday this year also clashed with CNY. Which means, I have a day off from school on my birthday! Bliss. (Y)

Attended the usual family's reunion dinner on CNY's eve and relatives from mom's side came over to my place on the 1st day of CNY.

What I wore for reunion dinner!

On the second day of CNY, I went to Sungkai, Ipoh with the family for a holiday! Sungkai is known for its natural hotspring! Honestly, I wasn't really keen about the holiday because like most of you, I've never heard of this place before. But there's no harm going after all right?

DAY 1

Left in the morning and reached in the afternoon! The whole place was just so... green! No joke! The whole place is filled with trees and flowers and trees again and trees everywhere! Sounds quite ulu lah but got free wifi connection, so not so ulu anymore heheh.

Braided my hair but the braids got really messy because I slept in the car. :(
Does anyone sleeps in the car as often as I do?

Well, I saw an opportunity for pictures, so... :D
P.S I'm loving my new shorts!

Laid back in the hotel for a few hours. Then, mum suggested us to go cycle around the area! We agreed immediately because there was nothing much to do. There were two bicycles for renting, one is a normal one-seated bicycle and the other is a tandem bicycle. I wanted to try the tandem bicycle because I never gotten a chance to ride one but the rent fees was expensive! So, we went with the single seat bicycle which cost RM10/per. It was pretty reasonable compared to the other one.

Met a very unfortunate incident while cycling though. See, my cousin was leading my mom and I to this way out. We had to pass through this narrow route which was between a huge drain. My cousin went first, followed by me then my mother. Unfortunately when it was my turn, I lost control and my bicycle went down the drain. I managed to like slip off the bicycle but I fell on my butt with one leg inside. T.T Got a few scratches on my leg and two cuts on my toe which hurts like poop. T.T (Now you know the reason behind my blog title lol.)

Fyi, I suffered with my cuts for the next three days. This trip was probably the most painful trip I ever had. T.T

Sad face after the fall. :( Lol jk, I took this before we rented the bicycle. #badluckface #justkidding

That night, the relatives came over to our room and we gambled! What is CNY without gambling right??? The only game we played was Black Jack because that was the only gambling game we all knew. #failgamblers Luck was on the line for me because I lost 1 buck. :( Poor aunt lost the most money.

DAY 2

....just had to make use of the pretty leafy background hehe.
Note my horrible split ends. :(

Day 2 was mostly spent in the hotspring. Before we entered the hotspring area, we had to go through this security check thingy. Visitors are not allowed to bring outside food inside. So there was this family who was stopped by the security guard because they were carrying eggs in their hands (p.s there was a egg boiling place in the hotspring area lol no joke). The family literally shouted back at the guard and started firing foul words at him. And my family and I were just watching the drama at the side. xD I pity the guard though, he was just doing his job. ._.

They didn't manage to bring their eggs in btw.

Crossed this bridge twice because dad lead us to the wrong way. -_-

The hotspring area wasn't as good as I expected. What I dislike most is it's cleanliness. The water at the hotspring was dirty. ._. I didn't stay in there for long because of that and also because of the cuts I had earlier which were burning in the water. T.T

But I have to admit that it was kinda relaxing! My cousin called it a water massage trolololol.

Le hotspring. Not very impressive indeed.

This is where you buy the eggs!

There was also this huge cold pool which had two huge slides! Being party poopers, my sister and cousin backed out leaving me and my 12y/o cousin in the pool. Yet, it was still really fun going up and down the slides like goodness who know how many times we did!

Horrible look after dipping into the pool. -_-

We also tried this stone walking thingy where you walk on these stones which hurt like.. terribly! But I heard it is good right? :O

DAY 3

Which was also my 17th birthday!

Woke up to lots of birthday texts/wishes on my phone, Twitter and Facebook! I wish to thank everyone who took the effort to wish me happy birthday! Short ones, long ones; they all mean something. They made me happy, they made me smile. Especially to the ones who stayed up late to wish me happy birthday at 12a.m. :') While to others this day is Valentine's day, it will always be my birthday! Thank you again everyone! Love you people!

We had buffet for breakfast which served food ranging from local to western delicalies! Not bad I would say!

It was so coooold and windy in the morning that I had to put on a sweater. But I do love the morning breeze!

Birthday ootd hehehe.

And urm, many camwhore pictures of myself hehehe. It was my birthday, so I was in a super good mood to camwhore heh.

Left for home after we checked out. Spent the next few hours at home saying thank you to everyone who wished me heheh.

Went to Sakae Sushi for my birthday dinner! I requested for it because I love sushi! :D My heart dropped a little when we reached IOI Mall because, there was a really really long queue outside Sakae Sushi. And most of the other restaurants! We went to Sushi King to check it out but the queue was equally long. So we decided to just queue outside Sakae Sushi.

That is the downside of being a Valentine's baby I guess. :(

We were supposed to get my birthday cake that night but we were all so bloated with sushi that we called it off. I did get my cake three days ago!

On Saturday, Soaring Eagles organized a youth CNY visitation! We were divided according to our ages. My group visited two houses; one was Bryan Chee's house and the other was Bailey's. It was all of our first time visiting Bailey's condo. And I have to say, her condo was super nice!!! It almost looked like a hotel! The scenery was just so beautiful and there were so many facilities! Super nice place to camwhore also heheheh sorry, please forgive my sampatness.

At Bryan's house!

And Bailey's.

Woo made this string of my pictures with our picture in the middle for my birthday! She also bought a purple lantern with birthday wishes on them which is really sweet of her! Thank you Woo! You never failed to make me happy on my birthday! :')))

Thank you to everyone else who gave me super sweet gifts for my birthday too! I love each and every one of them. <3 p="">

This is by far my favorite watch.

Laura Wong. Sixteen and still growing up. A tanned Chinese who also speaks broken Mandarin. Has a huge craving for cookies and scones and milk tea. A child of God and a vainpot.
