10-12 DECEMBER 2012: MAD CAMP 2012 (DAY 2)

"Day 1"

Woke up at 8am to exercise. Did a few warm-ups and stretching. After breakfast, we had an activity called Spy Skills. Members of each team were supposed to line up in straight lines and hold each other's hand. When the game master tosses the coin and it appears to be the head of the coin, the last member has to pass the message to the first member by squeezing the hand of the person he/she is holding. On the other hand, the first member who receives the message has to quickly run and grab a Milo packet which was on a chair. The team who manage to grab the Milo packet first wins. My team did quite well on the first round while on the second round, we didn't do that well.

Pastor Brian preached again during the second session. He talked about how every big sin starts with a small sin. Then, we had lunch and free time. The task force crew made everyone sleep during our free time because the outdoor games were coming up next, so they want us to have enough energy to play. Took a short nap; like around 20 minutes.

It was 2.30pm when we gathered at the hall. Each team were supposed to perform their group chant one more time and salute Ben before leaving the hall lol. There were 3 games altogether in the outdoor games which was also known as Mission Impossible: Outdoor Espionage. In the first game, each team had to send out two members; one to play the game and the other had to help to tie a tissue box on the back of the player. The member with the tissue box had to eliminate 6 ping pong balls which were in the tissue box by jumping or perform a bridge or whatsoever. This game was really hard, resulting my team to come in last. :(

This is how it's supposed to look like.

Was helping Su Jane to tie the box on her back.

Deborah was in a torture lol.

There was another activity where there were plastic bowls filled with onion cut in shape of rings mixed with cincalok and some disgusting stuffs laid in front of us. Each member had to dig out an onion ring and pass it to the next member using straws. I find this game really easy, although most of them complained that the onion smelled terrible and also some drank the cincalok by accident. Heard that someone threw up too. :O Anyway, my team collected the most onion rings, so we won!

The game committee members were showing us how to play the game.

Jun was the one who had to hold all the onion rings we collected because he was the last person hahah.

Last but not least is the game which was probably the easiest. There were two bowls on the table; one filled with sugar and the other filled with limes. We were supposed to put any amount of sugar we like into our mouth and a lime. Then, we have to spit out as much juice as possible into a cup. The team with the most juice collected (and saliva lol) wins. The catch of the game is to not spit out the seed of the lime or you have to dig it out of the cup using your own hand. Again, my team did well! I think we won the first in this game.

The rain started to pour causing us to stay under a shade. While waiting for the rain to stop, we played charade. I teamed up with Caleb David and Natasha's team. We managed to guess every thing!

Every team was then given balloons and a few eggs. Once the count was given, everyone threw water balloons, eggs, cincalok and flour at each other! I was covered with a little flour, smelled like cincalok and soaked with water at the end of the game. As disgusting as it sounded, I had fun! But I don't think I can ever wear the t-shirt that I wore for the dirty games out anymore lol.

In the evening, a few of us went to play in the pool. Someone brought his/her's waterproof camera, so instead of swimming we took pictures instead heheh.

At night, there was another session by Pastor Brian. I was reminded of how I keep expecting God to answer my prayers but I do not fulfill God's wishes. His message was powerful and as Ben prayed for me, I felt God's anointing over me.

It was time for bed but nobody wanted to sleep for it was our last night. Stayed up with a few people (shall not mention names :P) at the corridor like hobos but Laureen said that we were too noisy, so we had to move into Bailey's room. The guys were actually not allowed to enter the opposite gender's room. Each time someone knocked on the door, the guys quickly dispersed into their hiding spot, eg: the toilet, the cupboard and the balcony. It was so funny watching the guys hiding hahaha!

Camwhored with Becca, Eve, Hazel and Nellie while waiting for everything to be settled. :P

Oh, and we took a polaroid picture!

For some reasons, we moved into my room and talked all night. Had some personal conversations which we promised to not let them out of the room. It was about 5 am when the rest left the room leaving me and my roommates. Again, I had to force myself to sleep knowing that I only have 4 hours left.

With Bailey, Natasha and Nellie.

Woke up again at 7am and found Caleb, Samuel and Nellie in my room. The guys tried to convince me that I was dreaming and seeing them was my imagination. /majorfacepalm  -____-

Laura Wong. Sixteen and still growing up. A tanned Chinese who also speaks broken Mandarin. Has a huge craving for cookies and scones and milk tea. A child of God and a vainpot.
